currently seeking a dynamic and highly-motivated Senior Tax Manager
to join our team. This is a permanent role that offers an exciting
opportunity to work in the fast-paced and ever-evolving mortgage
industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for
overseeing all aspects of tax operations, developing tax
strategies, and ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding
of tax laws and regulations, and a proven track record in managing
tax operations in a mortgage or financial services environment.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize
tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax laws and
regulations. Manage and oversee all aspects of tax operations,
including tax planning, tax compliance, and tax risk management.
Prepare and review tax returns and tax reports to ensure accuracy
and completeness. Liaise with internal and external auditors and
manage tax audits. Provide expert tax advice and guidance to senior
management on complex tax issues and decisions. Keep abreast of
changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the
company. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals and ensure
their continuous development and performance improvement.
Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure
alignment of tax strategies with business objectives.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a
related field. A Master's degree or a professional certification
such as CPA or CTA is highly desirable. Minimum of 5 years of
experience in tax management in a mortgage or financial services
environment. In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations and
their application in a mortgage industry context. Strong strategic
thinking skills and the ability to develop and implement effective
tax strategies. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity and
professionalism. Proficiency in tax software and other relevant
