Job Details Job Details: As a Permanent Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our dynamic Accounting Finance team. This position involves a high level of responsibility, accuracy, and commitment. You will be tasked with analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of accounting information by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting. You will be a part of a team that thrives on the challenges of balancing both the big picture and the minute details. Responsibilities: Analyze complex financial reports and records Make recommendations based on analysis and status of reserves, assets, and expenditures Review journal entries to ensure accuracy Train and mentor junior staff Conduct regular ledger processes Reconcile balance sheets and deliver summary reconciliation reports Prepare financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis Record, review, and interpret financial information to recommend or approve budget allocations Meet financial accounting objectives Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standards Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required (Master’s degree preferred) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a senior accounting role Proven experience in financial analysis and forecasting Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations Able to analyze financial records and transfer information Self-motivated and self-directed Accurate and precise attention to detail Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work Strong aptitude for numbers, spreadsheets, and financial reports Able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
