Accounting Manager NE Nebraska | Manufacturing | $115,000 annual salary Our growing manufacturing company in northeast Nebraska is searching for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day?to?day finance operations, strengthen internal controls, and provide cost?focused insight that drives smarter shop?floor decisions. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will own the full cycle of accounting, partner closely with plant leadership, and mentor a small team of accountants. Why join us? Well?capitalized manufacturer with long?term contracts and modern production technology Direct impact on margins and efficiency-your cost analyses guide what happens on the line Stable Monday?Friday schedule, competitive benefits, and a clear path to Controller for a high?performer Accounting Manager responsibilities Oversee GL, A/P, A/R, payroll, fixed assets, and monthly/annual close, ensuring GAAP accuracy Analyze standard and actual manufacturing costs, inventory variances, and work?in?process; present corrective actions to plant management Prepare plant budgets, rolling forecasts, and cash?flow projections; track performance KPIs Coordinate internal and external audits; maintain SOX?ready internal controls and documentation Serve as ERP super?user, driving process improvements and training staff on best?practice workflows Lead, coach, and develop a two?person accounting team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Accounting Manager qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred) 4 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2 years in a manufacturing environment (preferred) Demonstrated success as an Accounting Manager , Senior Accountant, or Cost Accountant with hands?on cost accounting expertise Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with mid?tier or enterprise ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics 365, SAP, Epicor, JD Edwards) Strong communication skills and the initiative to collaborate with operations, engineering, and supply?chain leaders Compensation & benefits Accounting Manager salary: $115,000 per year Health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and tuition assistance Relocation assistance to beautiful NE Nebraska available for the right Accounting Manager candidate Ready to translate numbers into manufacturing performance?
