The CAD operator is responsible for preparing, modifying, and
maintaining CAD models and drawings to reflect field measurements.
The individual in this position supports the Engineering Department
by ensuring company and industry standards are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to
perform each essential function of the job.
- Operate Auto CAD efficiently and complete assignments in a
timely fashion.
- Apply industry standards and best practices to drawing designs
and controls.
- Plot/convert electronic files.
- Modify design drawings per markup and verbal
communication.
- Prepare CAD models and annotated drawings at the direction of
engineers.
- Maintain electronic and hard copy drawing archives.
- Create and update CAD models of existing facilities and
equipment.
- Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area,
machines, and equipment.
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to
reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing
effectiveness.
- Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate
supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
- Adhere to established company values, practices, policies and
procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all
applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
- Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned
work location.

to perform other duties as requested by management.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities
An individual qualified for this job must be able to:
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete
variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists.
- Accurately multiply, divide, add, and subtract whole numbers to
resolve practical problems.
- Operate a computer-PC proficiency; use spreadsheets and
reporting software effectively.
- Wear/use required PPE (personal protective equipment).

documentation as directed.

prioritizing production needs.

solution of those problems.

Minimum Experience, Education, and CertiFications
- Associate's Degree in mechanical or industrial engineering,
drafting or a related field, or any or any satisfactory combination
of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills
and abilities to perform the above duties.
