Job Description:
Summary: Perform a variety of complex production assembly
operations and inspects finished products to ensure compliance with
production standards and specifications. Requires the ability to
use blueprints, diagrams, written schedules, drawings and oral or
written instructions to assemble component parts and
sub-assemblies. Use a wide range of machines, hand tools and
electrical assembly components to produce good quality parts and
assemble items to be used on and integrated with industrial
automation and robotic system applications. Essential Functions:
Build electrical panels, junction boxes, and various electrical
components with minimal supervision. Plan assembly procedures and
methods to assure efficient and timely progress. Work from
complicated and detailed drawings, specifications, engineering
drawings, sketches, bills of materials, production orders, and
instructions. Complete electrical assemblies with minimal
instruction and supervision. Completed assemblies are subject to
inspection and test. Install finished assemblies and subassemblies.
Enter and complete labor entries. Assist with teardown and pack-up
of systems when necessary. Installation of systems in customer
facilities. (Travel required) Identify and assist engineering in
documenting changes in assembly instructions or material
utilization. Connect component wires to circuits and connect wires
between individual component leads. Other duties as may be assigned
that are trained for and qualified to do. Adhere to company’s

Education, Experience, Skills, Licenses, and Other Requirements: To

Education and/or Experience: Associate degree (A.A.S.) or
equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two years
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. 3 years working as a panel
builder/electrical technician, preferably working for a robotic
systems integrator. Electrical experience to include panel
building, electrical assembly, cable routing and termination,
electrical troubleshooting, safety circuit design and risk
assessment. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA79, UL508A, RIA 15.06 and
other applicable electrical codes. Knowledge with Microsoft Office
products (Outlook, Word, Excel) and Adobe. AutoCAD Electrical and
Epicor experience is a plus. Language Skills: Ability to read and
interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before
groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical
Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as
proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability
to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of
technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal
with several abstract and concrete variables. Licenses and Other
Requirements: Ability to operate job specific equipment or tools
