Job Description Job Description Mechanical Engineer Mechanical Engineer II Position Overview The Mechanical Engineer II will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that product designs meet performance and safety standards, while also considering manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. Key Responsibilities Design and develop mechanical systems and components using SolidWorks. Conduct computational simulations to validate design concepts. Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for project documentation. Perform Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) to identify potential design issues. Collaborate with manufacturing teams on fabrication processes, including laser cutting. Support construction activities by providing mechanical expertise and guidance. Work with agricultural applications to create innovative solutions for the industry. Review and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards to enhance design precision. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering. Proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical design principles. Experience with computational simulations and analysis techniques. Knowledge of fabrication processes, including laser cutting. Familiarity with agricultural machinery and construction equipment is a plus. Understanding of DFMEA and GD&T practices.
