    Summary

    Organizes, plans, directs, and coordinates the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program consistent with Catholic Charities policies, goals, and guidelines. Provides leadership and oversight to the program in a manner that will ensure the highest level of participant services and program accountability while empowering a positive work environment. Monitors program to ensure effective service delivery and contract compliance requirements. Provides fiscal responsibility for the program to include grant search, grant writing, and budget monitoring. Supervises staff, ensuring program accountability and fulfillment of program goals, Oversees data collection and reporting functions. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with other community agencies. Oversees facility safety and upkeep.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Oversees all functions and activities of the Domestic Violence Shelter and Sexual Abuse Program in accordance with laws, rules, and regulations established in administration policies, practices, and procedures as well as other funding sources or regulatory bodies as appropriate.
    • Writes and maintains grants to provide funding for the program and monitors contract requirements to ensure compliance. Ensures client information is properly collected and compiles monthly reports and annual reports. Monitors budget performance on a monthly basis to ensure expenditures are appropriate to the approved budget.
    • Completes performance evaluations of Assistant Program Manager, Volunteer Specialist, and Financial Assistant on a regular basis and reviews job descriptions and task lists annually.
    • Supervises daily operations of program and staff, arranging for staff training and monitoring compliance with state standards. Schedules and facilitates regular staff meetings to review service delivery and program services.
    • Works with staff to plan, implement and evaluate programs and services designed to meet the needs of the community in accordance with administrative policies and other regulatory bodies.
    • Coordinates with Financial Assistant for payment requests for program vendors.
    • Coordinates Performance Quality Improvement and compliance efforts for the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Program.
    • Maintains reporting system to comply with standards of the Council on Accreditation (COA) and reviews COA standards for compliance.
    • Participates in collaborative efforts to develop, coordinate and implement best practice criteria for sound domestic violence and sexual abuse programming in the community. Provides expertise and support for other agencies as appropriate and provides data regarding the program to assist in the identification of program needs. Assists in the preparation of proposals and budgets for the continuation of contracted services based on community needs.
    • Attends workshops, meetings, and conferences to increase professional skills and contribute to the overall goal of providing services that address needs in the community.
    • Serves on area boards, advisory committees, and state coalitions to promote and enhance service provision and community education.
    • Is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of facility and assigning upkeep tasks to staff or negotiating appropriate service contracts.
    • Provides on-call support to staff.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.
        Education and Experience

        Bachelor s degree in social work or related field from a four-year accredited college or university. (Master s degree preferred.) Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of social work programs and practices and domestic violence and sexual assault dynamics. Demonstrated ability and two years of related experience working with people of diverse cultural backgrounds. Previous supervisory and managerial experience required. Minimum of two years experience in grant administration and program development preferred.
