Responsibilities:
Service Center Managers are responsible for the organization, staffing, enforcement and accomplishment of all Service Center activities in an efficient and economical manner consistent with Corporate's objectives.Inspects and measures Service Center performance to identify opportunities or problem areas and develop solutionsMaintains excellent communication with external and internal customersAnalyzes revenue statisticsIdentifies sales opportunities and develops customer solutionsKeeps fully informed of competitor developmentsRecruits, qualifies, interviews, hires, trains and develops Service Center personnelDevelops sales/marketing action plans to maximize territory revenueInvestigates, reports and initiates corrective actions for accidents, job related injuries and employee discrepanciesUnderstands and complies with Dayton Freight's safety practices including DOT, EPA, ICC and OSHA rules and regulationsEvaluates all freight claimsEnsures that Service Center premises are protected and maintainedFacilitates informational meetings with Service Center team membersEffectively handles special assignments as directed

Qualifications:
Knowledge of the LTL/ Transportation IndustryManaged Drivers and Dock WorkersManaged a Sales staffHas been responsible for developing and following a budgetLegally eligible to work in the United StatesFluent in English
