Job Description:

The compassionate and energetic college member supports the college and health science programs mission, vision, values, and outcome competencies. Coordinates and oversees delivery of Certified Nurse Assistant course for Credit on Campus, Centers and High Schools. Successfully manages the center and maintains open and timely communication with faculty, students, peers, and administration; implements policy and collaborates with adjunct faculty and clinical partners; serves as a role model of professionalism, collegiality, and service. Instruct, organize, and teach a minimum of one CNA course per semester (FA, SP, & SU) and assist with CNA courses. Serve as the Accreditation Liaison and concurrent enrollment liaison. Required Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
• Two years nursing practice.
• Current nursing license in Iowa and/or Nebraska.
• Ability to pass a background check, have a valid driver's license and good driving record.Preferred Qualification
  • Long Term Care experience preferred.
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Familiarity with state and national nursing education and accreditation standards highly desirable.Physical Demands Requires prolonged standing or sitting. Requires frequent bending, stooping or stretching. May require light to heavy lifting. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Requires the use of office equipment such as computer terminals, telephone, faxes and copiers. Requires walking long corridors at clinical sites.
