Technician atCHI Health's Mercy Hospital, you'll prepare the
operating room for a variety of surgeries in our Labor and Delivery
unit. We can't operate without you.Our operating room (OR) runs as
a team; every person on the team has an important role that
directly impacts the patient. Your success in this role comes from
your adaptability and enthusiasm to work with a team ensuring
patient needs and safety are top priority.**About Us**At CHI Health
Mercy Council Bluffs patients are at the heart of our care. Our

Our full range of medical services include a new pavilion featuring
enhancements in heart and vascular care, surgery, maternity, cancer
care and diagnostic imaging.Mercy Hospital's Labor and Delivery is
an eleven birthing bed unit. We have a team of nurses, midwives,
Family Medicine, OB/GYN physicians and MFM caring for normal to
high risk pregnancies. We care for OB patients that need cardiac
monitoring and higher risk evaluation. We deliver approximately
400-500 babies a year and are part of CommonSpirit Health which
operates 139 hospitals and more than 1,000 care sites across 21
states, making our services accessible to nearly 1 in 4 U.S.

with us.**Responsibilities****What You'll Do**+ Assist in the
admission, discharge, and transfer process of patients.+ Set up
tables, instruments, and supplies required for cesarean sections,
vaginal deliveries, and circumcisions; maintaining sterile
technique.+ Respond to patient calls, anticipate their needs, and
assure their safety and comfort through regular rounds,
environmental maintenance and other appropriate safety measures.+
Maintain appropriate stock and equipment inventories in the
department and patient rooms.+ Assist in the preparation and
draping of patient and operative area. Prepare, pass, and maintain
a correct count of instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies
utilized during the operative procedure.+ Maintain surgical
instruments by ensuring proper washing, packaging, sterilization,
and storage.**Qualifications****We are offering a** **$5,000 Sign
on bonus** **to new hires who meet the following eligibility
requirements.**+ BLS (Basic Life Support) from the American Heart
Association required upon hire.+ CNA or Surgical Technologist
certification,required+ Experience in a surgical or acute care
