We will strengthen access to quality-integrated healthcare, by removing barriers for those with the greatest need, and developing community relationships, to enhance the future of our communitys well-being.We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:Eligibility for student loan forgiveness;Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance;Generous time off including:Paid Time off (PTO) and Personal days10 paid holidays, including your birthday!Employer paid Life Insurance and Long Term Disability;401(k) match up to 4%, and more!POSITION OVERVIEWThe Dental Assistant is a member of the dental team whose primary responsibilities are to prepare patients for a visit, check-in and check-out patients and schedule appointments and reappointments.DUTIESAssists the Dentist(s) and Dental Hygienist(s) in procedures and works as a productive team memberPrepares, cleans and sets up operatories for patient appointments.Registers patients for appointments in the computer.Takes necessary documentation for accurate billing and charting.Maintains accurate files for patients and for quality controlTaking and mounting dental radiographs (x-rays).Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.Responsible for preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipmentCreating a comfortable environment for all patients.Providing patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).Responsible for learning and performing a variety of dental assistant duties per Providers workflow and practice preferences.Communicating with patients and suppliersQUALIFICATIONSCertified dental assistant in the state of Iowa or the ability to obtain certification with 12 months from date of hire.High school diploma or GED minimum.Previous training and experience in dental assisting preferred.To ensure the safety of our patients, employees and visitors, All Care Health Center is requiring all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by March 15th, 2022.
