Job Overview: The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients who require continuous monitoring and advanced medical interventions. Working in a high-acuity environment, ICU RNs collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely, compassionate, and evidence-based care. They assess complex patient conditions, manage life-sustaining equipment, administer medications, and respond swiftly to emergencies. Responsibilities Take vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, oxygen levels). Work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare providers to create and implement treatment plans. Manage multiple patients in a fast-paced and often chaotic environment. Respond quickly to critical situations.
