Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/28/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job ID: 71051223 Position: ICU RN Shift: 12-Hour Nights (18:30–07:00) Contract Length: 13 weeks (91 days) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week Care Setting: Acute Division: Nursing Trauma Level: Level II Charting System: Epic Facility & Unit Details: - Department: ICU - Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: - ICU: 1:2 - PCU: 1:4 - Medical (downgrades): 1:5 - Patient Population: - COPD, pneumonia, CVA, TIA, DKA, sepsis, CHF, STEMI, neuro - Titration Requirement: Yes - Common Drips: - Vasopressors, Insulin, TNK, Heparin, IV antibiotics, Sedatives - Charge Nurse: Present each shift; may take assignment - CNA/Tech Support: - 1 tech until census reaches 20, then 2 techs for up to 24 patients - Critical Care Coverage: - 24/7 coverage via E-ICU (nurse APRN) - Respiratory Therapy Equipment: - Vents, BiPAPs (RNs expected to troubleshoot if needed) - Telemetry: - RNs must read and interpret their own strips - Telemetry monitor brand not specified Orientation: - Week 1: System orientation & onboarding - Unit-Specific Orientation: 1–2 12-hour shifts Scheduling & Requirements: - Scheduling: Managed by unit scheduler (no self-scheduling) - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Holiday Requirement: Based on unit needs - Floating Requirement: May float to PCU and Medical floors - Scrub Color: Navy blue (not provided) - Required Exam: - Pass/Fail open-book exam on Friday during orientation - Must score 90% or higher to continue contract Certifications Required: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - NIHSS (Stroke Scale) Compliance & Radius Rules: - Radius Rule: - Must live outside a 50-mile radius - Not eligible if working full-time, part-time, or PRN for CommonSpirit, including CHI or Dignity Health - Driver’s License: Required at submission to verify address - RTO Policy: - Max 7 days per 13-week contract (must be submitted with profile) - No additional RTO allowed after submission - Cancellation Policy: - Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment - 3 shifts if less than 13 weeks About Nationwide Therapy Group NTG is a proud partner with healthcare professionals across the country.
