Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: 2 years of prior experience required in a large, urban hospital License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Epic charting experience required - Floating within scope to meet facility needs - 100% nicotine-free facility Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a medical/surgical/telemetry unit. The unit focuses on providing care to trauma patients with acute and chronic needs. This is a fast-paced environment, and we expect candidates to maintain high standards of patient care. Patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night. Depending on staffing, night ratios can occasionally be 1:7. Experience with managing drips is required on all floors. Travelers may be required to float to different units as needed. All travelers must submit their requested time off during application. Travelers must work two out of three major holidays. Candidates should have experience with blood product administration, central line care, and management. Skills in managing cardiac drips and both non-invasive and invasive airway management are essential. Knowledge in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias is necessary. Care teams will include CNAs, care techs, and transport teams for support. This is a mandatory nicotine-free environment for all staff.
