Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical Intensive Care Unit Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,318 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years required in a large, urban hospital License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Description: This position involves working in a 20-bed critical care unit. The unit provides care for critically ill patients with various medical conditions. Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, acute and chronic kidney failure, liver failure, overdoses, and septic shock. The nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:2-3 during the day and night shifts. Travelers will float to different areas as needed to meet staffing requirements. Mandatory weekend shifts include working 4 out of 8 potential shifts, specifically Saturday and Sunday day shifts and Friday and Saturday night shifts. Requested time off must be submitted with the application. Up to two weeks of time off is permitted. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays, and this request should be included with the application. This facility is a 100% tobacco-free environment. Candidates must have experience managing drips on all floors. Travelers are expected to be able to float within their scope of practice. First-time travelers will be considered if they have two years of experience in a Level I Academic Medical Center. Travelers will be required to participate in a mandatory charting class during the orientation week. Specific scrubs are required, and further information on obtaining them will be provided. All contracts must end on a Sunday, and the work week is defined from Monday to Sunday. The facility uses a variety of interdisciplinary support services including IV teams and respiratory services. Healthcare team members include care teams, techs, and unit secretaries. Additional unit details include care for diverse age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Documentation will be required for compliance prior to start. All compliance documents must meet the specified deadline.
