Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/10/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel PCU / Med-Surg RN – Oncology & Trauma (6 East)/n/n/nUnit: Mixed PCU, Oncology & Med-Surg | Beds: 27–28/n/n/nRatios: PCU 1:4 (Days), Med-Surg 1:5 | Nights 1:5–6/n/n/nShifts: 12 hrs (7a–7p / 7p–7a) | Self-scheduling | Every other weekend/n/n/nOrientation: 2 days/n/n/nExam: Open-book, Pass/Fail on Friday of orientation (90% required to pass or termination)/n/n/nRequirements:/n/n/nMinimum 1 year PCU Oncology experience/n/n/nChemo Certification required (ONS/ONCC)/n/n/nCharge experience required (minimum 1 year)/n/n/nFirst-time travelers accepted/n/n/nBLS & ACLS required/n/n/nMust titrate drips (insulin occasionally, cardizem)/n/n/nCommon drips: chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, protonix/n/n/nPolicies:/n/n/n50-mile radius rule (verified via driver’s license at submission)/n/n/nCannot be current FT/PT/PRN with CommonSpirit/CHI/Dignity/n/n/nNo artificial nails (non-compliance = termination)/n/n/nFloating: Med-Surg & PCU (same level of care)/nEMR: EPIC | IV Pumps: Alaris/nSupport Staff: CNAs, Charge RN, PT/OT, Case Manager, Social Work, Educator, Dietician/nDue at Submission:/nDOB, SSN, Phone, Email, Permanent Address, Driver’s License, RTO (max 7 days per 13 weeks), EPIC experience (if within 6 months), prior CHI/Dignity work history/nPatient Focus: Oncology & Trauma PCU patients; strong teamwork, compassion, cultural sensitivity, and patient-centered care expected.
