Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Embark on an impactful journey
as a Respiratory Therapist in Omaha, Nebraska, and bring
life-improving care to patients while advancing your expertise in a
dynamic, supportive travel environment. This specialty-focused
opportunity invites you to apply your clinical skills across
diverse hospital settings, collaborating with physicians and
multidisciplinary teams to optimize respiratory care, drive patient
outcomes, and mentor less-experienced staff. As you step into this
role starting February 23, 2026, you’ll help families breathe
easier, guide complex airway management, and implement
evidence-based therapies that elevate the standard of care. Beyond
the clinical impact, Nebraska’s expansive skies and welcoming
communities offer moments of calm and inspiration. The state’s
rural charms and vibrant city life sit side by side—from the
bustling riverfront and cultural events in Omaha to serene state
parks and wide-open prairies that stretch toward the horizon.
Nebraska’s beauty is a daily backdrop to your professional purpose,
with opportunities to unwind in outdoor sanctuaries after a
fulfilling day of patient care. Location benefits: Omaha stands as
a gateway to a thriving Midwest healthcare ecosystem, featuring
top-tier hospitals, teaching affiliations, and a collaborative
community that values respiratory excellence. You’ll enjoy a
supportive network, easy access to continuing education, and the
chance to work with a broad spectrum of pulmonary and critical care
patients. That said, this travel assignment also opens doors to
assignments across Nebraska and other U.S. locations, offering a
unique blend of stability and adventure. You’ll refine skills in
high-acuity environments like ICUs, step-down units, and outpatient
clinics, while immersing yourself in the local culture, dining,
festivals, and a robust outdoor scene along the Missouri River. The
combination of professional growth, competitive compensation, and
the opportunity to explore new locations makes this role especially
rewarding for therapists who value both career development and
work-life balance. Role specifics and benefits: - Core
responsibilities include: performing thorough patient assessments;
managing and ventilating patients with diverse respiratory needs;
optimizing weaning protocols and weaning-ready protocols;
implementing airway clearance techniques, secretion management, and
chest physiotherapy; administering aerosolized therapies,
medications, and oxygen therapy; interpreting ABGs, monitoring
trends, and adjusting plans in collaboration with the care team;
educating patients and families on pulmonary care, prevention
strategies, and discharge planning; and documenting care in
accordance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements. -
Professional growth: you’ll have opportunities to expand expertise
in ICU-based respiratory care, pulmonary rehab integration,
mechanical ventilation strategies, and rapid-response
collaboration. The role supports skill diversification across adult
and geriatric populations, with potential for mentorship,
cross-unit learning, and involvement in quality improvement
initiatives. - Benefits and support: enjoy a competitive weekly pay
range of $1,985 to $2,128, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The
assignment includes housing assistance to ease relocation, and the
possibility of contract extensions to continue or broaden your
experience. A performance-based bonus may be available, along with
additional stipends for travel-related needs. You’ll receive
comprehensive support from a dedicated, 24/7 traveling team to
address housing, licensing, orientation, and on-site needs,
ensuring you never feel alone on the road. - Work-life integration:
the travel model is designed to maximize your clinical impact while
respecting personal time. Flexible scheduling and consistent
supervisory support help you plan downtime, explore Nebraska’s
natural beauty, or venture to other locales for weekend adventures.
Company values: Our partner organization is committed to empowering
respiratory professionals, recognizing their essential role in
patient recovery and safety. The culture emphasizes career
advancement, ongoing education, and a supportive environment where
clinicians are encouraged to share knowledge, contribute ideas, and
grow within the specialty. You’ll join a team that prioritizes
safety, compassion, and collaboration, fostering a sense of
belonging whether you’re in a familiar city or on a new assignment.
Call to action: If you’re a dedicated Respiratory Therapist seeking
to elevate your practice, broaden your clinical horizons, and
partner with a company that values your expertise and development,
we invite you to apply. This is more than a travel assignment—it’s
a pathway to meaningful clinical impact, professional growth, and
the chance to experience diverse communities while delivering
compassionate care that improves breathing and quality of life.
Take the next step and join a program that supports your goals as
