The Performance Coach , will be responsible for delivering training
services to athlete and adult clientele, support marketing, sales,
customer service, and operational tasks for the performance
division. Position details Position Full-Time Shift Days FTE /
Hours 1.0 / 40 Schedule Monday - Saturday: Variable schedule
between 5:00am - 8:00pm Position Requirements Education : High
School Graduate / equivalent required. B.S in Exercises Science or
health related field preferred. Licensure : Currently credentialed
as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Performance
Enhancement Specialist, or equivalent certification preferred.
Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
within 60 days of hire. Experience : 1 year minimum or previous
internship in private or college setting for full time coach -
required. Broad experience with multitude of athletic and/or adult
populations - required. Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Demonstrates professional behavior 100% of the time. Demonstrates
technical knowledge and proper application of movements and
exercises. Delivers energy, motivation, and positive body language
daily so that each session is a positive experience. Ability to
communicate well with clients, prospects, and professional
associates. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability
to instruct and collaborate with others. Strong team orientation.
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities.
Displays flexibility and adaptability to provide patient education
regarding their specific physical therapy treatment needs. Ability
to problem solve with patients, team and other departments within
OrthoNebraska. Essential Job Functions Coaching: Coaches in a
manner to always protect the client from injury. Conducts free
trials and places increased focus and emphasis on the prospect
during this time. Conducts initial musculoskeletal and performance
evaluations on all new clients. Develops appropriate goals with
each client and reviews as appropriate. Utilize effective coaching
cues for improving training techniques providing a positive
learning atmosphere for each client. Is organized and prepared for
each session and maintains the flow of each session including
starting on time. Consistently communicates with the Head
Performance Coach about client issues, needs, progress, and changes
made during a session. Communicates with physical therapy staff on
mutual clients, injury situations, and other collaborative needs.
Marketing and Customer Service: Supports marketing team with needed
content and other needs for external marketing campaigns. Generates
internal referrals as determined by annual KPI goals. Establishes
joint ventures with local businesses and sports entities to support
company's goals. Fulfills location's sales process to achieve
annual close rate. Communicates with parent and/or client on
progress and goals using current company methods. Fulfills
location's client retention strategies to achieve desired attrition
percentage. Supervision: Provides appropriate supervision and
mentorship of new staff and interns as directed by the Head
Performance Coach. Administration: Maintains client schedules.
Tracks and discusses client's expiration date to facilitate a
renewal meeting with appropriate personnel. Attends scheduled
company meetings and participates appropriately Maintains accurate
understanding and follows policies and procedures. Assists in the
cleaning and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Reports the repair needs to department heads. Responsible for all
other duties as assigned. Physical requirements: This position is
classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles,
requiring the exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than
negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct
pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be
contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical
with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active
licensures per job requirements.
