CPI, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Epic charting experience - Experience
with mixed acuity, telemetry, and stepdown nursing - Ability to
care for a diverse patient population, including neurological cases
Description: This position requires providing nursing care in a
fast-paced environment. The unit specializes in neurology and
neurosurgery. Nurses will be responsible for caring for patients
with strokes, aneurysms, seizures, spinal fusions, brain and spinal
cord tumors, and other neurological conditions. Staffing ratios are
typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, with some nights
going up to 1:7. Nurses may float to other units as needed.
Travelers should be prepared for frequent floating to meet staffing
needs. 4 weekend shifts are required every 4-week period. Please
note the holiday requirement of working 2 out of 3 major holidays.
The facility is a nicotine-free environment. This role involves
working closely with an interdisciplinary team, including techs and
therapists. Candidates must maintain patient privacy and adhere to
infection control protocols. A commitment to high-quality patient
care and teamwork is essential for success in this position.
