Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,296 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124! Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: RN License Description: The position involves caring for patients in a fast-paced Intensive Care Environment. The Nurse to Patient Ratios are 1:1-2 in the ICU setting. Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, and general surgery cases. Nurses will administer and titrate various IV medications including vasopressors and sedation. Charge nurses are present on each shift, and they manage patient assignments. Patient care techs are available to assist, with a ratio of 1:18. Registered Nurses will troubleshoot respiratory equipment like vents and BiPAP. Telemetry monitoring is done with centralized systems, and RNs must be able to read and interpret strips. Self-scheduling is not allowed; schedules are created based on unit needs. Weekend and holiday work is required, with specific expectations based on unit needs. RNs may be required to float to other inpatient units as needed. Scrubs should be navy blue. The unit promotes a team-oriented environment that fosters high-quality care and collaboration.
