Registered Nurse (RN) | Telemetry Location: Omaha, NE Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,224 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/13/2026 About the Position ID: 76261924 Shift: 12H Nights 12 hr nights Description: Unit Notes:* * RN's - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated * *Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.Fingernail policy: Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care- refusal to remove nails will lead to termination of contract Driver's license required at submittal and will be used to determine if candidate is outside 50 miles.PREFER TRAVEL EXPERIENCE BUT WILL CONSIDER STRONG CANDIDATES WITHOUTNO LICENSE OR BACKGROUND HITS Department: Med Surg Neuro - 4th Floor North *Certifications: BLS and NIHSS requiredMS Neuro patients include any med/surg tele patient including strokes, any stable neurological deficit, post neurosurgery procedures in addition to any other Med Surg overflow no RT equipment troubleshooting - of Beds: 25- Ratios: 1:5-6- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: MedSurg/Tele- joint replacements, fractures, colon resections, COPD exacerbation, prostatectomy, cellulitis, sepsis, ortho trauma, GI bleeds, pneumonia, failure to thrive- Are RN's required to titrate drips?: Heparin, lidocaine, and ketamine- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: PCA pumps- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes- 1:10-20- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: Tele techs will interpret, RNs should have some tele awareness- Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?): 0630-1900, 1830-0700 // Travelers will be scheduled. Will approve a limited amount of block scheduling- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend- Holiday Requirements: 2-3 Holidays from Thanksgiving to New Years. - Floating Requirements: Yes to other medical surgical areas or units with MedSurg patients waiting for a MedSurg bed- Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided?: RNs: Navy Blue- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 2 days- Additional Notes: Have mechanical lifts in every other room, Big focus on hourly rounding and responsiveness, This unit typically has multiple discharged and admissions in one day- a nurse is successful on this unit when they can manage the business of the day, have good attendance, are a team player, friendly, compassionate, and cares about patients first. They serve patients of all cultures on this unit including Spanish, Karen, Burmeese Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.
