Gas AMI/AMR System AdministratorLocation: Council Bluffs, IA, United StatesJob ID: 34048Date Posted: Jul 26, 2022Salary: $ 60350 to $ 90600 annually Share: share to e-mail Apply Now > Job DescriptionJob SpecificationsIn this important role you will be responsible for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) administration and metering program information management for Black Hills Corporation's gas utilities.SALARY RANGE: $60,350 - $90,600 (Determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.)REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Manager, Gas Meter ServicesLOCATION:Council Bluffs, Iowa+ Relocation financial assistance is available, amount may vary based on individual circumstances. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:+ Monitor AMI system alerts.+ Manage handheld ERT programming equipment for FDM and all meter reading equipment for FCS.+ Troubleshoot no reads, reading errors and verify meter read routes are completed by close of each route window.+ Assist with resolving any issues identified between AMI and various other Company systems, including CIS+, MDMS, and large volume billing systems.+ Verify gas meter and measuring component attributes in CIS+. Add and/or update gas meter or measuring components as necessary while working with gas meter shop.+ Review online daily & monthly reports. Work with gas field measurement technicians to verify or correct information.+ Handle metering equipment in AMI and CIS+ systems.+ Develop and deliver the ongoing Black Hills Corporation AMI system training plan.+ Assist with testing AMI software patches and meter firmware; coordinate upgrades.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:+ Assist the regulatory and accounting departments in accumulating gas meter data needed for rate cases and annual state reports.+ Develop and maintain business processes related to the AMI system.QUALIFICATIONS:+ No experience required. Training provided. + High school diploma or equivalent required.KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:+ Ability to learn gas metering, perform gas meter test and reading infrastructure. + Thorough knowledge of Company software applications.+ Proficient with TOAD for Oracle or similar database software.+ Ability to handle multiple projects of varying scale simultaneously.+ Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences. + Detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy.+ Strong digital literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as various other business applications.+ Ability to understand the AMI system infrastructure, including meters, ERTs, collectors, repeaters, and other communication system components and the AMR system infrastructure and their differences.+ Demonstrated understanding of metrics development and data manipulation.+ Process flow management from concept development through implementation and subsequent tracking.+ Strong software troubleshooting skills.MENTAL/PHYSICAL DESCRIPTIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:The mental and physical descriptions are representative of the activities an employee in an office job performs.
