Job Summary: -
A Scale Clerk is responsible for accurately and safely weighing all inbound and outbound trucks, ensuring accuracy to the extent possible of contract number, customers and load numbers and securing payment of COD terms. Additionally, the Scale Clerk is responsible for ensuring prior load content verification in conjunction with the food safety program and providing general building and equipment upkeep.
Adhere to safe work practices and actively participate in all safety programs
Must provide excellent customer service as this position is significant point of contact with the public
Responsible for ensuring that inbound soybean receipts are applied to the right customer and contract by verifying information from the driver at the Scale utilizing Agris and GTM
Responsible for ensuring that all product have accurate load number and accurate destinations prior to drivers being admitted to facility for soybean meal, hull, refined oil and feedstock
Ensure that all payments are received for all COD customers prior to leaving premises
Responsible for ensuring prior content (meal/hulls) certification is obtained in compliance with food safety program
Responsible for accurately weighing all inbound and outbound truck traffic and processing the appropriate documentation
Responsible for troubleshooting scale and RFD tag issues that interfere with Oneweigh, Agris systems
Responsible for scale systems in all impacted areas including loadout areas, probe and rail scale and for troubleshooting guidance related to ticket routing throughout facility processes (scale to probe to scale; scale to loadout to scale, etc.)
Provide facility orientation to new drivers and address unsafe activities with truckers and/or report problems to management
Assist in routing other deliveries

Shift/Pay:
Training 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday thru Friday
After training: - 1:00pm - 9:00pm Monday thru Friday and Some Saturdays
$13.89/hour
Long term position (1 year)

Skill/Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
1-2 years of experience working with grain/commodities contracts is preferred
Knowledge of facility and logistics is preferred -
Computer skills including MS Word. - Excel and SAP are preferred.
