Conagra Brands, be part of building something BIG.Job Summary:Leads team members to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities. Manages production staff to attain production and quality goals. Identifies problems or bottlenecks in production processes and resolves issues. Ensures production resources including materials, equipment and human resources are available as needed to maintain production schedules. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost and customer service. Responsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team-oriented work force in order to improve business results. Designs and plans equipment and machine layouts, workflow, and safety precautions to maximize the production of the facility. Performs labor cost analyses, evaluates worker productivity and recommends improvements to processes. Helps improve workplace designs. Evaluates plant project requests through cost justification analysis.Position Responsibilities:Monitor production to ensure that quality, productivity, and cost standards are maintainedProvide employee training to ensure that employees are performing job responsibilities effectivelyAssist with the supervision of sanitation operations as necessary to promote and maintain a clean and food safe environmentEnforce plant rules, regulations and proceduresEvaluate subordinate performance, communicate with employees, and provide information for work performance improvementParticipate in the support of plant and company safety programs, promoting and maintaining a high level of awareness and adherence to defined employee safety requirements such as lock-out/tag-out, personal protective equipment, confined space entry, etc.Leads team members in a High Involvement Work System to identify, manage, and execute the plants process improvement opportunities. Supports continuous improvement goals in safety, quality, cost, & customer serviceResponsible for managing and owning various functions of the business and creating an engaged and team oriented work force in order to improve business resultsPlan, coordinate and lead Autonomous Maintenance activitiesParticipate in weekend production supervision rotationPerform other duties as assignedPosition Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Understanding of manufacturing processes and loss with the ability to distinguish normal/abnormalExcellent attention to detail and data analysis skillsMust have strong mechanical aptitude and be self-motivatedAbility to work hands on individually as well as with others as a teamExcellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and organizational skillsPrevious experience in a food-processing or manufacturing environment is a plusAbility to work weekends and/or shift work with a strong work ethic and employment historyAbility to read, write, communicate and comprehend written instructions in EnglishMust be available for a second shift positionPosition Qualifications:Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering preferred. Other degrees will be consideredThree years related experience + supervisory experiencePrevious experience working in a manufacturing environment preferredPrevious experience in focused improvement or industrial engineering workPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.
