Job Description:
Job Purpose:
Under general supervision, and in compliance with established
policies and procedures, this position is responsible for providing
support on various functions within the BSA Compliance Program for
Midstates Bank. Primarily, the Analyst will perform daily reviews
and analysis of customer transactions maintaining regulatory
reporting deadlines and reporting suspicious or unusual patterns of
activity in accordance with the Bank Secrecy Act and will work
closely with the BSA Officer. Additionally, the Analyst will assist
with monitoring and improving efficiencies within the AML software.
The BSA Analyst I will perform assigned duties in accordance with
Midstates Bank's Core Values and will adhere to the Quality Service
Standards.
Essential Functions:
Analyze transaction data to complete Yellow Hammer BSA worklist
items, submitting a task on any questionable results.
Monitor compliance with cash tracking and due diligence.
Review and analyze account documentation.
Lead efforts in annual reviews for medium-risk and high-risk
clients.
Complete analysis, tracking, and preparation of suspicious activity
reports as well as ongoing monitoring.
Manage deadlines to regulatory requirements.
Perform other job-related duties or special projects as
assigned.
Participate in civic activities to promote growth and development
of the community and a positive image for the bank.
Skills/Qualifications:
Knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, strong computer skills,
specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Jack Henry SilverLake software;
excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills.
Proven attention to detail and ability to work independently and
productively and should be able to prioritize assignments as per
their issues of significance.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create
collaborative working relationships as part of the Midstates Bank
team, working towards the Bank's goals set forth by the strategic
plan.
Education:
Associate degree or equivalent work-experience required.
Experience:
3-years banking experience including deposit opening, or Bachelor's
Degree in Finance or Business-related field required; 1 year BSA
experience preferred.
