This job is on the Mainframe z/OS systems team and will serve the support and maintenance of the mainframe operating system serving the development and applications support of the State of Nebraska agencies. Apply to join our team today! Job Duties: This person will assist in the on-boarding and off-boarding of SoN mainframe users. The person will work with the DMV and other agencies with setting up and maintaining connectivity with their state-wide sites. This person will assist in the review and validation of changes within the regular mainframe maintenance processes. This person will work with our mainframe support vendor in the correct routing of service, incident and change requests and assist when required of maintaining communication between the vendor and our agencies. This person will also assist in the design of a disaster recovery test environment. Other duties as assigned and within the scope of the classification. Requirements / Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Associate Degree in Computer Science/IT and one year experience in a related area such as working with coding computer applications relational databases related business/technical experience involving application programming, software installation and maintenance, systems programming and online programming work. Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Other: This person will also work with our services support vendor in the monitoring and utilization of our storage volumes, both DASD and tape. Regular and reliable attendance required.
